Red, White, and Bleu

Ok, I think Myles should quit his day job and we should start a food magazine together! What do ya think? Here's his latest original that he came up with for the 4th:

spinach
candied pecans
fresh raspberries
bleu cheese
poppyseed dressing

I'm Glad to be an American!

I'm so thankful for my freedom, my family, my country!
God bless the USA!

Our New Pet

Just kidding! This reptile show was part of all the fun, free festivities!

My Three Little Kittens

I guess the long wait in long was worth it! Actually, it worked out perfectly because the line was in the shade and under a tent full of crafts for the kids to do while the parents waited. The girls were in heaven with red white and blue nail polish, beads for necklaces, etc. They would have stayed ALL day if we'd let them. They had some of those huge blow up slides and jump houses. Loads of fun, and all FREE!

Our New Time Out

Full of Hot Air!

I was glad Mikey Boy motivated us to wake up in time to see the hot air balloons this year before lift off. Carly and Robyn lucked out to be in the right place at the right time to be invited inside one of the balloons. It was amazing!

Colonial Days

We discovered such a fun little Colonial Village where we met Abe Lincoln, made a corn husk doll, watched chalk artists, and learned the story behind upper and lower case letters. (They used to take capital letters out of a literal higher case when having to place each letter by hand into the printing press).
