So there's only a few weeks left of school, and we are definitely in a sack lunch slump. Robyn's usually got the treat part figured out real fast, but when it comes to the main entree, we're struggling here.
She's not allergic to peanuts, but 3 of her friends are, so that makes PB&J and many other easy things out of the question. So, with no peanut butter and many moans and groans for tuna, we're having trouble getting some protein in here!
What's your kids' favorite lunch item? Any ideas?

Ham and a side of pickles...that is what i would choose if not pbj
My kids love ham & cheese too!
Cheese and crackers? A turkey roll up? Good luck!
Mmmmm, cheese and crackers. You could even get all fancy pants and cut the cheese into cute shapes with cookie cutters.
And are her friends allergic to tree nuts? If not, almond butter is a really yummy alternative to PB. It's really easy to make: just pulverize some almonds in a food processor.
Thanks, everyone for your great ideas!
Chocolate all the way!
Nutella is a chocolate hazelnut spread, no peanuts...
That's got protein in it doesn't it?
:) Ha!
Lunchables once in awhile might be a fun and exotic lunch. : ) I think you can get them at Costco for a decent price!
