Halloween Bread

Ever since Myles was a little boy, he'd do reverse trick-or-treating and bring Halloween bread around to people with his mom. People would say "thank you" politely, thinking the bread was burned or moldy, until they were brave enough to cut a slice and discover the swirls! Now our girls have fun making it and surprising people, too.

wow! That is so great! So what is the trick? You have to share!

So, you make 2 batches of bread and color one orange and one black. (If you use that paste stuff it's a lot more concentrated than just food coloring). We use white flour for the orange batch and wheat flour for the black one.

After the dough has risen in the bowls, divide it according to how many loaves you want to make. Roll out one color and then the other on top of it, and then roll it up.
